Chief Financial Officer

Brian was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of GCT Global Container Terminals Inc. (GCT) in February 2007. He is responsible for all finance-related activities of the corporation and its marine terminals in Canada and the United States, including corporate finance, long range planning, tax planning, risk management, and financial accounting and reporting.

Prior to joining GCT, Brian was the Vice President of Finance and Administration for TSI Terminal Systems Inc., now a subsidiary of GCT operating marine terminals in Canada, from 2003 to 2007. In addition to finance-related activities, Brian was responsible for managing the Company’s long term property leases, including the negotiation of a $400 million terminal expansion and related 50 year lease agreement.

From 2001 to 2003, Brian served as Director of Finance and Administration with Sigma Aerospace Limited, an aerospace repair, overhaul and parts manufacturing business based in London, England. Brian became a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator during an 11 year career with Grant Thornton LLP, where he held several positions, culminating in Partnership in the Vancouver, British Columbia office. Brian received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
