GCT’s terminals enjoy stable, long-term relationships with the majority of the world’s largest container lines. These lines choose to do business with GCT’s terminals because of the company’s operational excellence, high level of customer service, and continuous view toward capacity enhancements to allow for future volume growth
GCT’s terminals have long-term concessions with both the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Recently, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority granted GCT a 50-year concession at Deltaport, demonstrating the long-standing, collaborative relationship developed over more than 100 years of operations at the Port. GCT has been successful in securing long-term concessions through operational excellence, flexibility and innovation to meet the needs of the GCT’s customers, stakeholders, the Port Authorities, and the company’s shareholders.
GCT strongly supports the health and well-being of the communities in which it operates, and where its staff and workforce live. The company participates in measures that minimizes its environmental footprint and is an important contributor to local economies and communities, with a vision to become “the global leader in marine terminal operations”. The company is committed to a two-pronged approach of operating its terminals in an environmentally responsible manner while simultaneously increasing its capacity in a sustainable way, working in close partnership with stakeholders and community organizations.
GCT has several expansion projects underway that will strengthen its relationships with its customers, as the terminals will also be the only facilities in their respective ports with significant planned capacity to support the growing capacity needs of its customers.
