Stephen Dowd

Stephen Dowd is Senior Vice-President, Infrastructure with the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. He oversees the global infrastructure and timber portfolio, which includes water, gas and electric utilities, power systems, airports, toll roads, marine container terminals and timberlands. He led a $2.4 billion (U.S.) transaction to purchase four marine container terminals in North America for this portfolio in 2007.
Mr. Dowd joined Teachers’ in January 2006 as Director, Infrastructure with almost 20 years international experience in banking and the energy and utilities sectors in North America, Europe and Latin America. He was promoted to his current position in 2008.
Mr. Dowd holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
